Ideas I Have Copied

This is a fun time of year to share gift ideas. None of these are original to me. I have found most of them on the amazing Internet or copied them from friends. Feel free to use any of them!

A package of ingredients for Snowman Soup is easy and always appreciated:

In a plastic baggie, put an envelope of hot chocolate mix, about ten miniature marshmallows, and a candy cane. Include one of these poems:

Was told you’ve been real good this year— Always glad to hear it! With freezing weather drawing near, You’ll need to warm the spirit. So here’s a little Snowman Soup Complete with stirring stick Add hot water, sip it slow It’s sure to do the trick!!

A little cup of cocoa, I'm sending 'round your way. I hope that you'll enjoy it, On some cold & wintry day!

As you sip this cocoa, It's warmth will warm your heart, Just like your friendship warmed up mine, Right from the very start!

Looking for a not-too-big gift for co-workers or baby sitters? A couple of pairs of Christmas socks might fill the bill.

For graduation, I gave my grandson and nephew a “money pizza,” but it would be good for any occasion.

Buy a small pizza, the size for one or two people. Save the cardboard under the pizza, and arrange dollar bills in a circle on the paper. You can throw in a couple of fives, and a ten or a twenty to make it fun! Stick them down using Dap one-ounce adhesive putty, the kind you pull off in little chunks and roll into small balls. On top of the bills, add a few coins to look like pepperoni, using the same Dap stuff to adhere them. On top of the pizza box, attach a note saying, “You can’t make a pizza without dough!”

And last of all, here is one I haven’t tried yet, but it looks fun: In a cube-style tissue box, write on the side: “Don’t blow it all in one place!” and fill with bills. One sticking out at the top, of course. Use a small piece of tape to connect bills to each other, so they pull out in a long stream of bills.

You can email me your clever gift ideas, and if I get enough of them, maybe I will post a Part Two!
